First week Always wanted to play the saxophone, but never had the time or the inclination to follow weekly lessons for a year? Then this workshop at Artedu is a tailor-made solution for you. Learning to play the saxophone in one or two weeks. After the introduction to the instrument you will learn to read the scores and you will soon play your first melodies and improvisations. You will be accompanied by music tapes. The workshop pays particular attention to articulation and respiration. The focus, however, is on the pleasure of playing together and the enjoyment of making music.
Second week (advanced students) In the course of the second week there is, besides for the saxophone, also room for the clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, guitar, violin and accordion. This improvisation course is intended for every instrumentalist who has mastered his instrument sufficiently (lessons during two to three years). Participants from the first week can, of course, also take part in the second week. You will in particular improvise on various musical styles, such as jazz, blues and pop music.
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to participate in a joint musical session. The maximum number of students per teacher is 10. At halftime there is a coffee break and a picnic, which will be brought to you in the course venue.
If you do not own a saxophone, you can hire one from Artedu. The other instruments you have to bring yourselves. If you own a music stand we advise you to bring it with you.
