In a beautiful location in the Auvergne where one goes back in time to the Roman Abbey of Chanteuges and where you can stay in ‘La Grande Maison’, a magnificently restored house, originally a 12th c. chapel, with a restaurant and terraces and a view of the Desges. There are morning courses and afternoon picnics on the river or the mountain where you can relax, walk, swim, canoe, play golf or take in the culture. Music ensemble
This workshop offers the opportunity to play with other multi-talented musicians. If you have played an instrument for at least 4 years, or sung or played music from the repertoire of Hot club of France such as Django Reinhardt and the Rosenberg trio, Klezmer, Tango from Astor Piazzolla, Balkan, Flamenco, Jazz, Fado, Classical, Jazz or Pop, you can sign up for a musical week that promises to be outstanding.
The ensemble workshop is taught by composer, accordionist, and music professor Nihad Hrustanbegovic. He is also bandleader, soloist and conductor of Flairck, Mediterranean Sundance and the Mozes Rosenberg trio. He has conducted in nearly all the theaters and various concert halls, such as the Concertgebouw, in the Netherlands. You will have the opportunity to improve every possible aspect of musicality and technique, such as using sheet music or playing by ear, timing and dynamics, phrasing and articulation and improvisation and jamming. The highpoint will be to give a concert for the French public at Chanteuges.
This workshop is available to all ages. Individuals or complete bands and ensembles may sign up. There must be a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 participants.
The course is given together with the accordion course.
Bring your own instrument and music stand. One piano is available.
The course is from Monday-Friday from 9.30-1.00 or from 9.00-12.30. There is a performance Friday evening.
